All about Dawn and Scott

About Dawn

Dawn was born in 1975 at Victory Memorial Hospital in Waukegan, IL.  She was the first child to Craig and Barbara.  They lived in a little apartment in Antioch but soon moved to a cozy house in Oakwood Knolls, also in Antioch.  4 years after Dawn’s debut into the world, her brother Anthony (Tony) was born.  1 year after that, Scott came into the world.  They lived in Antioch until she was 12 years old and then moved to Lake Villa.  At 15, Dawn began working at Six Flags Great America and worked there for 6 seasons.  During the off seasons, she worked at Gurnee Mills at various stores.   When Dawn was 19, her parents got divorced and her dad moved to Des Plaines.  She attended CLC for 3 semesters before realizing that she was wasting her time because she had no idea why she was going.  When Dawn turned 21, she met who is now her former fiancé.  Dawn soon decided that working in the banking industry would be what she was going to do and began working at National City Bank and then left there to go to Bank One.  She moved out of her parent’s house and into an apartment in Fox Lake.  After that, she has lived in Round Lake, back to Fox Lake, North Chicago, and is now living in Beach Park.  Currently she is employed at WW Grainger and received her bachelor's degree in Business Administration in July of 2006 from Robert Morris College.

About Scott

Scott was born in 1965 in the great state of New Jersey.  He is the second son of Anne and John.  His older brother is David.  Because of his father's job, Scott was shuttled around to various places in his childhood and teenage years.  He has lived in Pennsylvania, Ohio, New Jersey, Illinois, and Australia.  He eventually settled down in Florida and had his own place to live.  He worked at Walt Disney World doing various jobs.  He began taking classes at ITT Technical Institute and earned his Associates Degree in Electronics.  He then moved up here to Illinois and took up residence in North Chicago; his companions being Magic and Samantha.  After Magic passed away, Madison joined his family.  He has worked at many places doing various computer related jobs.  He mostly works as a contractor in such companies as Abbott Laboratories and WW Grainger.  Currently he is working at Mabis Healthcare as an actual employee and not as a contractor.

And then they met...

We met at work. I was working at WW Grainger and Scott was working for Valcom.  Valcom was the contracting company that handled Grainger's computer support.  We began talking just in passing and soon found that we had some things in common.  We both enjoyed NASCAR, wrestling, and football.  After months of casual conversation, he decided to come say  "Hi" to me while I was working at my second job at Gurnee Mills.  He stayed and talked with me nearly my entire shift.  After I got off work, we decided to meet at a bar/restaurant called Flanagan’s.  We talked, ate, drank, and watched NASCAR.  We now consider that night, May 17th, 2003, as our first date.  As we continued to develop our relationship, I soon met his 2 kids, Samantha the Rottweiler and Madison the Pug.  Later we added Jazz the Conure bird to our family.  Scott then went on to meet my father and brothers. It has been over 3 years since we have started dating and things couldn't be better.  We added a new kid to our brood; she is another pug which we named Dinara.  Shortly after Dinara arrived we lost Samantha to cancer.  We still feel her loss sometimes but our lives are full of pugginess.  Most recently, we purchased a house a few towns north of where we lived previously.  It is coming along nicely.
